I feel like I say this every time I do a blog post, I am so behind!! I have taken a little time off to travel with my family and enjoy are brand new swimming pool before it is to cold to do so. With fall sessions underway I will probably get even more behind, oh well. This is a family session I did back in June. I absolutely love when large families all get together to do a family photo session. I remember when I was younger one of my family members had the idea of gifting my Great Grandmother a large frame with images from each individual family. So my mom and her family, my uncle and his family, my aunt and her family and so on. Back then professional photography wasn't as popular so we all just took our own photos on our own time with our own camera. We gave them all to my Grandmother who put together the frame. The photos were fine and my Great Grandmother displayed the frame proudly on her wall, however there is not a fun story behind the images or a family memory. These days the whole family coordinates outfits, meets at one location, goes through the awkward poses, creates memories, laughs and goes to dinner as a family afterwards. It is like an event and I love that so many families are taking the time to create and capture these memories.
This family was a blast, they went through the awkward poses with me and created some of their own. It was a hot evening in June but they had fan and will have these images to show this time in their lives forever.
